Having owned many Land Rover Defenders we decided to replace our old 90 with a brand new 90 pickup from a main dealer in London. It was fairly spartan with the only optional extras being a spare wheel and the rather expensive canvas rear cover kit.
We used it in this trim for around 1400 miles before we carried out the following modifications in house, Needless to say it had some real road presence when we were done.
Safety Devices rear hoop with diagonal | Momo Prototipo & boss kit |
Recaro CS heated seats with removeable bases as per OE spec | Hella spot lights |
Genuine “Sawtooth” allows & BFG all-terrain tyres | Upgraded sound system |
Colour coded headlamp bezels, bonnet bulge and wheel arches to match the OE roof colour | Kenwood single din head-unit – DAB, Bluetooth, front & rear USB |
Genuine “Heritage” badges (Front & Rear) | Hertz Energy speakers |
Heritage style grill | Crunch GTO4120 4 Channel Amplifier |
Smoked indicators | Silent Coat used to sound-deaden the whole cabin |
3mm black chequer plate kit for load area |
