We purchased this as we all have a soft spot for VW’s. It was incredibly high mileage (approx. 300km) and very tatty but a good basis for a project (not to mention rare being supplied new in “Racing Green Metallic” LK6U).
Initially the plan was to rebuild the vehicle in a OEM+ fashion, however, it was soon decided to go for a fast road/trackday build.
The project soon got away from us but the end result was great fun to drive. Partial list of modifications below
